I recently watched a video by Derek Sivers titled Obvious to you, Amazing to Others. The idea really struck a cord with me. Then, right before Christmas, I saw another video, it was of a man dressed as an everyday angel (all in white) buying groceries for random people at a grocery store. But this wasn't just any grocery store, it was the store where my dad had owned a bakery for over 25 years. I made a simple observation and commented on the video, just like I had done on several other Facebook posts how many other times...but this time, something amazing happened. My 3-4 sentences were read and shared by hundreds of people. I was simply sharing a memory of my dad, obvious to me, but the entire circumstance was actually amazing. Starting today, I am going to make an effort to share my obvious.
